However, through all of this there are a select few bonds that withstand all of the storms and beat the test of time. These people who have seen you at your best and your worst, the ones who have invested themselves into your life and you have invested yourself into theirs. The ones you have fought tooth and nail with and cried together with. These select few are your Ride or Die.
As I sit and watch the coaches study their plays and go over every possible scenario. As the players take hours to get their bodies and minds ready for battle by stretching and focusing in on the challenge ahead. As the players and coaches come together to check in and hold each other accountable for bringing their A game. I sit and think to myself “do I have what it takes to ever get to that stage?”
In today’s world it is extremely easy to get caught up in ourselves and allow our egos to control our focus.
